Happy Valentine’s Day! I just wanted to take the time to write a short post on this lovely day.
I’ve only really celebrated this holiday with a significant other once a few years ago. I was so genuinely excited to celebrate my first real Valentine’s Day, especially with someone I really cared about at the time. Valentine’s Day is indeed cute and romantic, but let’s be real—the holiday is a lot of hype that can lead to heartache if you’re that person that doesn’t have that special someone.
So this year, yours truly is dating but single (and ready to mingle 🙂 ). I’m sill working on locking down that special someone, but until I find my prince, this holiday will be completely dedicated to celebrating all the love around me. I’m so grateful to have all of this love and compassion from my family, friends, followers, and fellow bloggers in my life.
This Valentine’s Day we should not only celebrate our significant others, but we should also try to spread and share the love around to everyone in our lives. Don’t be disappointed if you are single and don’t have any prospects. Don’t be so hard on yourself, and certainly don’t focus on what you believe to be missing from your life.
Focus on the copious amount of love around you from your family, friends, coworkers, pets, etc. That is the love you should be thriving off of. It’s all about perception—do not focus on what you don’t have or who you don’t have in your life. Appreciate what and whom you have in your life. Love is all around you. Be thankful for all of the relationships in your life. The more grateful you are, the more positivity you attract. What you give, you receive, and with this in mindset, you will indeed attract that special someone into your life.
Above all, love yourself first.
Happy Valentine’s Day, happy Galantine’s Day, and/or happy tindering my friends!
